Work with me

Nutrition & lifestyle coaching for people like you

Changing habits and behaviours can take time.

Our brains are hardwired to follow the path of least resistance. It is far easier for our brains to repeat a previous pattern of behaviour than to choose a new path, “neurons that fire together, wire together”. This is how habits form. It can take anything from one month right up to a year for a new behaviour to become a habit – for the new neural pathways to wire themselves together. This is called neural plasticity and it is how our brains and behaviours can change over time.

Nutritional Therapy is most effective when we work together over a period of time. Initial consultations last up to 90 minutes and cost £100. Follow-up consultations last up to 60 minutes and cost £60. As a minimum I recommend we meet at least three times, normally every three to four weeks, with ongoing support via phone and email in between. Further consultations are then available to book separately, or on an ongoing basis. We are all unique and everyone will require a different level of support

About Nutrigenetic Analysis

Genetic testing and nutrigenetic analysis can be considered the ultimate in personalised nutrition. Nutrigenetics can be helpful in unpicking complex health cases or chronic health conditions, as well as providing an interesting insight into why our bodies and minds behave the way they do.

Nutrigenetic analysis is only offered alongside a coaching programme, and with the inclusion of an Organic Acid Test (or similar). You can read why this is important here

Please call or email an enquiry for further information.

I’m interested – what happens next?

Please call for a chat or drop me an email. If you have already seen the coaching programme you would like, we can get you booked in. If you are not sure which programme is right for you, we can discuss your goals and/or symptoms and take it from there. Either way I look forward to hearing from you.

Once we confirm your booking you will receive my T&C’s, letter of engagement, confidentiality policy and a detailed health questionnaire. The questionnaire needs completing and returning at least four days prior to our first meeting (although a week is preferable). This enables me to conduct any initial research required, and means you get better value out of the time we spend together.

Payment terms – I ask for 50% of the initial consultation fee to be paid in advance of appointment one, with the balance due after our initial consultation. Follow up consultations are then payable in advance. (Please note that payment for tests are normally made directly to the laboratory). I accept payment via BACS, Paypal and cheque.

Functional Testing

Functional tests provide information on how well the body is working. Sometimes this can help provide a more targeted nutritional and lifestyle intervention. Some tests are available through your GP, others only privately. Private testing incurs additional costs, but all tests are optional. The following provide examples of the type of private tests I may recommend, depending on your health goals and presenting symptoms:

Stool analysis. Tests for microbial diversity, parasites, digestive function, inflammation, immune function. From £210 (excluding parasitology).

Urinary Organic Acids. Tests for energy metabolism, functional vitamin and mineral status, neurotransmitter function, microbial imbalance, oxidative stress. From £200.

Cortisol Response. Tests the bodies perceived stress threat. From £85. Advanced adrenal DUTCH test from £195.

Nutritional Profile (urine), ONE. Tests functional nutritional status (vitamin, mineral, amino acid), cellular energy production, neurotransmitter function, microbial imbalance, oxidative stress. £335.

DUTCH Hormone health (dried urine). Tests sex and adrenal hormone levels, neurotransmitter function and oxidative stress. From £290

IgE / IgG (blood). Tests for food allergies and food sensitivities. From £125

Histamine intolerance. From £50

Blood tests – Various including lipid profile, full thyroid panel, liver function, pre-diabetes risk, cardiovascular risk, inflammation, vitamin D, iron status etc.

All tests are charged at my cost. The above prices provide an indication of cost and are subject to change. In order to remain unbiased in my recommendations I choose to pass on all discounts that I obtain from testing laboratories. I sometimes charge an interpretation fee for complex tests but this will always be discussed in advance.

Please note that Nutritional Therapy is a complementary medicine and is not a replacement for medical care. I believe in working closely with the medical profession in order to achieve the best possible health outcomes for my clients.
